The University of Helsinki has funded PhD positions available through the LUOVA doctoral school. Application deadline is in September of each year. They are extremely competitive, so if you are interested in applying, please contact us well in advance.
Finland also has PhD funding opportunities via charitable private foundations. Their deadlines vary, but many are also in September-October.
We also welcome Masters thesis students, including from abroad, to study with us. We have had students from Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and China join us for short periods to conduct research projects. Get in touch if you are considering opportunities for study abroad.
